Directions from Sumburgh Airport - click:

Getting here, takes roughly 15 minutes, 8.8 miles, north from the airport. Heading north, follow the road out of the airport and turn right, sign posted (The North, Lerwick A970), 5 miles north you will arrive in Dunrossness. Here you will find our local fully stock supermarket and petrol station. Driving on, for about another 3.8 miles, look out for a little yellow sign (THRS), you are nearly there.

Now look for the brown road sign (Levenwick, Levenwick Beach) and turn right. Follow the road around a few bends until you see a sign (Southpunds), red bus shelter to the right, turn right. Once you hit the dip our house is second on the left, 3 vertically wooden clad buildings. Drive right through to the external stairs, park up and come on in. Hurrah, you have arrived!

Directions from Lerwick Ferry - click:

Driving from town roughly takes 25mins, 20 miles, south from the ferry. Heading south, turn left from the ferry parking, pass the Co-op Supermarket on your left. You may want to pick up some groceries before heading to us. Then continue pass first small roundabout. At the next roundabout (Grants Garage on your left), turn right (North Lochside). Coming to the end of that road, turn right at the roundabout. Here you will find Tesco supermarket if preferred. Back on the road, stay on this road all the way to Levenwick.

Once you pass the road sign (Bigton, St Ninians Isle, Spiggie, Scousburgh) you are really close, continue around two bends, the next area is Levenwick. You will see a parking area to the left, just after this, enter the road to the left, drive right through Levenwick. You will then pass the doctors surgery left, mission hall on the right and shop. Heading further on, the road bends and then inclines. Reaching the top of the incline there is a red bus shelter on your left and road sign (Southpunds), turn left.

Now you are really, almost there, once you hit the dip, our house is second on the left, 3 vertically wooden clad buildings. Drive right through to the external stairs, park up and come on in. Hurrah, you have arrived!

Getting here, by Bus:

This is a very handy service that leaves from the Airport and the Ferry Terminal and will drop at the top of our road.

Getting here, to Shetland:

It may be obvious for some, there are only two modes of transport getting onto the island, either by air or via sea.

Northlink Ferries - click:  is the only ferry service that transports direct to Shetland from Aberdeen or via Kirkwall. We highly advise to book well in advance to secure a cabin especially in the main season. It is well worth having the best option for goods night rest as the ferry the journey is long and overnight.

Call their helpline on; +44 (0)1856 885500 or email; reservations@northlinkferries.co.uk. TIP: The 5pm ferry stops at Kirkwall around midnight, whereas the 7pm ferry comes direct to Lerwick.

Loganair - click: at present is the only airline that offers flights direct and indirectly to Shetland. TIP: Every now and then, luggage doesn't arrive on the same flight as the passenger! So it is well worth packing a nights worth of essentials in your hand luggage.

Trainline - click: Why not add a scenic train journey to your itinerary to get to an airport or ferry port. With links from all major airports and cities across the UK to Scotland.
